Must fix as many spelling and grammar problems within our code and documentation before the public release, lest people think we are some unedumacated fools off the street.
It's my duty to uphold the standards of the English language on this here code base!
The problem is that the spelling mistakes fester and propogate around. We cannot let this happen! :)
Let's take a step back here and ask, realistically, is there any chance that a bug this broad will ever be closed? I don't think opening a bug is appropriate for spelling errors, though fixing them should be a general goal. This is kind of like the GCC project's "obvious fix rule". I suggest RESOLVED INVALID.
Alternatively, we could just redefine the Inglish language. That might be easier. If the Americans can do it, certainly we can!
Well, it's supposed to give me incentive to fix all the things that I already found in the code, of which I only commited maybe a fourth or a third. After that, I'll close it and say I've done as much as I've seen during my first pass. Feel free to fix anything you come across when wandering around in areas of the code untouched for months and years.
OK, I fixed all that I could find (grep for comments, ispell, fix, commit), so it's as much as I can do right now.
